We highly recommend a visit to Bellamare!
Bellamare is beautiful and private! The home itself has the perfect spaces to relax in, from the terrace (huge, ceiling fans, great lighting, lots of comfy furniture) to the living and dining rooms and finally, the spacious master bedroom with terrace overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is extremely well-appointed and easy to use. We cooked most days, eating meals inside and out, and spent the rest of our time walking to and from the pristine sandy beach, swimming in the pool or just reading. The community is lovely and the beach is almost always empty.

We Had a Great Stay!
Great spot. The property was as advertised. We were met at the dock and escorted to the property by a friendly and helpful staff member. The location is more convenient than most villas we saw. The very nice beach is a very short walk between the other villas on the property. We had a great stay.

Wonderful Bellamare! Having only stayed on resort properties while visiting the BVI, we booked Bellamare for 10 days in July 2019 as the major resorts have yet to reopen on VG. Simply stated, Bellamare is a jewel and our new favorite place to stay in VG. Bellamare is well furnished with great attention to details. High quality furniture, linens, A/V, etc. provide you the sense that you truly are sharing someone’s home rather than just a rental property. The well-stocked and provisioned kitchen allowed us to cook most meals at home while enjoying dining on the expansive outdoor terrace. Mornings and evenings were spent on the terrace and multiple balconies enjoying the great view of Mahoe Bay. Speaking of Mahoe Bay, it too is amazing. Almost desolate at times, you truly felt you were staying at a five star resort with its sugar sand and uncrowded feel. We rented a Hobie Cat, kayak and paddleboard from Blue Rush Watersports and the children were not for want with activities.
We learned that Bellamare was one of the first properties to be rebuilt at Mahoe Bay after Irma and the Owners’ care and pride for their property is obvious. We look forward to staying again next summer and for many years to come.

A Spectacular Villa. – Glenn Luppino
We traveled with our adult children for a week in June, 2018. WOW! From the moment we stepped through the outside gate, all of our cares and concerns faded away. Bellamare is spectacular! June, 2018 was POST IRMA and while there was a considerable amount of repair being done throughout the neighborhood, BELLAMARE was in Perfect Order. We spent our mornings making breakfast in the well equipped kitchen. Our afternoons/evenings were spent around the sparkling pool or at the beach. And later making dinner on the grill and eating at the outside table. It’s been six (6) months since and our trip to VG and our memories/photos of Bellamare are still texted with the kids almost weekly. This was truly the best vacation our family has ever taken. 2020 or bust!
Some of our best memories include;
-Drinking coffee on the balcony and watching the sunrise.
- A pre-breakfast float in the pool
- Day trips to the Baths, Oil Nut Bay, and Savannah Bay,
- Evenings swimming and snorkeling at Mahoe Bay
- Drinks at sunset.
- The pool deck at night.
- And Watching the CAPS win the Stanley cup.

We have stayed at Bellamare for three years in a row with 4-8 people. This is the most well thought out villa with everything you need to enjoy life with your friends and family. I love the comfortable beds and showers. But let’s be real, the breathtaking views of Mahoe Bay here are out of this world. Our girls are learning to swim in these calm waters and the villa pool. I am amazed how beautiful Bellamare is less than a year after hurricane Irma. Come and make some fabulous memories here!!

I’m writing to give a heartfelt and enthusiastic review of Bellamare and VG post Irma in the hopes it will be useful in sharing with potential travelers.
was our third visit. We can’t stay away! We hope to make it every year. I can’t believe how quickly and beautifully you restored Bellamare. It’s like Irma never came. We love everything about the villa. Thank you for making it feel like a cozy home away from home. My 4 year old asks me “can we go to our beach house again?” Sweet, I won’t tell her it’s not actually ours.
The island was on the up and up. The beaches everywhere were pristine! Grocery stores stocked with everything you need. Car rental, gas all good. We love to cook at home but we can’t stay away from Hog Heaven which is better than before as far as a new structure and still amazing tasting food. We finally saw Richard Branson and got a pic! The baths was great as usual and DIVE BVI on point for charters on Sea Bandit — we did two and toured all around VG with plenty of snorkeling and swimming with the girls.
My personal favorite is my morning walks. I’m gone for 1-2 hours with just my thoughts and the beautiful sights.
I hope anyone considering a trip will say “yes”. It’s beautiful and has rebounded wonderfully from Irma. And Bellamare in particular is like a home away from home. I just love it. “

We have been traveling together to various Caribbean locations for the past 16 years and agree that VG is our favorite spot. This was our third stay at Mahoe Bay, our preferred area on the island. Bellamare was delightful, beautiful, and extremely comfortable. It is well equipped in every way for a relaxing and memorable stay. The villa manager, Letizia could not have been more helpful or accommodating. She was responsive to all of our requests and inquiries. We look forward to a repeat visit in the future.

Bellamare is paradise. We woke up every morning to a fabulous view of the ocean and the gardens. We stayed in the separate building that is great for privacy. After taking a morning hike, playing tennis, swimming or kayaking, we enjoyed going to the beach or sitting by the pool. At night nothing was better than enjoying the stars and quiet.
The villa is in excellent condition and furnished tastefully. The owners have taken the time to make sure that everything is perfect. We did enjoy cooking in but also found some wonderful restaurants and bars near by to visit.
We have stayed at Bellamare 3 times and hope to return next year. It truly is paradise.

We stayed in the Bellamare for 5 nights as part of a 3 Island 15 day 25th anniversary trip. My Husband loved this Villa the best out of the 3 we stayed in. He loved being so close to the beach and the villa was fairly new and well kept and the gardens were very, very lush. Yes Yes the gardens are phenomenal. Fresh flowers every day as there is soooo very much to pick from. He also liked the air conditioning in the bedrooms. We visited in September and there are 16 villas in the Mahoe Bay complex and we were the ONLY ones in the whole complex. It was wonderful especially on Sunday when we had the whole place to ourselves. The Bellamare is a 4 bedroom home; however the main house has two bedrooms upstairs and the other two bedrooms are detached and next to the main house. We only had the main house as there was just the two of us. The villa is set back from the beach and the water is really only truly viewable from the upstairs balcony in the master in the main house and the upstairs detached bedroom. The house is large, airy and very comfortable. I slept very well in the house. There is enough room for 8 at the dining room table or the outdoor table on the patio. The master bedroom and the detached bedrooms are also large. When we stayed this month, there was only a 27 inch TV; however I was told they would be upgrading. The Video library is all VCR movies, so bring DVDs. There in NO access to a washer and dryer. There is daily maid service which I found intrusive; however the maid will wash your dishes and do laundry if desired.
The beach is a 2 minute walk from the villa and there is a covered area on the beach to place your stuff. There is a very nice double reef right off the beach. The reef has the most unusual coral formations I have ever seen and there is great potential for many hidden treasures amongst the coral. We thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling right off shore as it was easy. There had been a lot of rain and Tropical storm Maria was right off shore during our sty so the visibility was not what you expect in the Virgin Islands. I can not vouch for other times of the year.
Tips: We loved our meal at the Mine Shaft in Virgin Gorda. I had curry coconut shrimp with crisp tender veggies and Caribbean rice, yummy yummy. The view is awesome there, way up on the hilltop and provided an excellent view of the tree-nesting hens and roosters just 6 feet away in the treetop. The Mine Shaft had a local guitar player who claimed to have played a Beatles medley for McCartney in February of this year.
The Baths is a MUST do at Virgin Gorda. The Baths are unique unusual rock formations that look like giant granite boulders thrown all over the beach like dice, they form labyrinths and pools as the tide runs in amongst them. Tip: enter the water at Spring Bay and then snorkel to The Baths. Spring Bay looks very much like The Baths, only in my opinion it is much nicer, larger beach and a great area to just swim around in and as it was off season we had the beach to ourselves.
